CISS Teachers and Students Attended the Piano Solo Recital

    On the night of November 9th, teachers and students of Canadian International School of Shenyang attended the solo recital by famous German pianist Corinna Simon at the concert hall of Shenyang Conservatory of Music.

   This concert is a 2019 "Love in Shenyang" Series Cultural Exchange Activity for International Friends in Shenyang, hosted by the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shenyang and Shenyang People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Corinna Simon who used to learn from Professor Ingeborg Wunder and gained a lot of experience in piano solo recital and performances in many cities in Europe. This time, she performed more than ten piano works of different times and styles providing a music feast for over 700 local and international audience.

   Lots of people and organizations attended this concert including Consulates General in Shenyang, chambers of commerce, international organizations for friendship and foreign-funded companies. Among all the audience, CIS Shenyang representatives were the most attractive with all the staff wearing the school uniforms which impressed the audience as the first and only IB DP world school in Liaoning. The Executive Director of CISS- Ms. Duan Yuna and head of CISS-Mr. Alan Norman said to the reporter of Shenyang Daily“this was an wonderful high-level performance and it was a pleasure for us to have the chance to embrace the art. Shenyang is an internationalized city with a long history of art which is the reason why great artists such as Corinna Simon like to perform in here. Therefore, we are very confident in conducting international education and developing talented international citizens. We have firm faith in the development of Shenyang and also the future of CISS”
