At CISS we are not only a group of teachers who love education, we are a family. A family like yours, living hard times. Concerned about our loved ones around the world, we share the days and the hopes, … Personally I believe that on a professional level this is a challenge for each and every teacher in the world. The teacher who loves his job is at this moment glued to his computer screen, creating resources, following the work of his students online, with affection, seeing in the distance the small big steps of his students, … perhaps confused by the situation and insecure because he does not know if everything he is doing at a distance is what his students really need, … but I can assure you one thing: every teacher loves his job, loves his students and is doing his best so that the children continue learning despite this global crisis.
And so we are the CISS teachers preparing our lessons, tasks, content, planners, video calls, … all with love. With the vocation that made us decide to be teachers. Everything to offer the best education to your children. And so every day I prepare my work as a CISS teacher: with a passion for education, the education of your children.
-Ms. García, Teacher Nayali.
Since the beginning of this crisis for CORONA-19, we have been aware of the socio-emotional well-being of children. Isolation and little contact with other children and nature is something that the human being is not used to. So I have always tried to make my online lessons and homework similar to what I prepare in my class. For that purpose, I created the blog at the beginning of this whole situation. To have a resource that the educational community could use, where you could find information, resources and fun activities related to the Unit of Inquiry. Planning the activities, I found the book “The happiest Tree. A yoga story” in our wonderful library. So I called our yoga teacher for a collaboration. As mothers Ms. Angela Zhang and I, we are on the same page, betting on being positive and looking for good in this situation. For this reason, and with the aim of providing activities to reduce possible stress, boredom and lack of physical activity in children, we decided to create this post together.
Research has shown tha Sun Salutations, when practiced regularly, have the potential to prevent over a hundred ailments. Among the many benefits here are a few prominent advantages:
Improved concentration, enhanced memory, increased energy levels. Increase physical strength, calm and focused mind, happy state of being. Better inmune system, higher efficiency, increased learning capacity, optimized metabolism, etc.
While you encourage your child to start doing yoga, it would be beneficial if you also roll out your yoga mat and practise with them. Stretching together, reaching for the sky and touching the earth… Please enjoy yoga routine with your child.
Here you can find the story and a wonderful yoga class with Ms Angela Zhang. I hope you enjoy the resources as much as we have enjoyed preparing them for you. Thank you.
