Thanksgiving Day comes on the second Monday in October in Canada, when the leaves turn golden. Gratitude is a good attitude towards life, and gratitude is wonderful emotion. In order to celebrate Thanksgiving Day, Canadian International School of Shenyang holds a Thanksgiving celebration on October 12.
First of all, Dr. Francisco, acting vice principal, on behalf of Madam. Duan Yun A, executive director of the school, delivers heartwarming speech of gratitude. He thanks the teachers and students present, and explains to us the origin and tradition of the Canada's Thanksgiving Day - Celebrating the harvest and being grateful for the food and goods received. What makes this celebration very special and rich is not only the delicious food presented to us, but also the CISS family that we have created and that connects us so closely. The continuous growth of CISS cannot be separated from the support of parents and the efforts of our teachers. It is CISS's primary goal to make students always feel grateful, learn to appreciate others and provide a harmonious international living environment for students, which is also the campus culture philosophy advocated by IB world school.
In order to complete the activity successfully, each class’s homeroom teacher lead the students one week in advance to start to prepare.
