CISS Held Legal KnowledgeLecture for Faculty and Staff

In order to further improve the legal awareness of the faculty and staff in our school and improve the level of governing the school by law, on 5 November, 2020, CISS invited lawyer Mr. Li, the special legal consultant of our school, to hold a special legal knowledge lecture for faculty and staff.

Mr. Li gave a detailed description of the Chinese legal knowledge related to the school and staff from several aspects, such as the basic legal literacy of the faculty and staff, the difference and connection between discipline and law, safety and security discipline, confidentiality discipline of the school, and the proper relationship with students and parents. Mr. Li especially introduced the legal responsibility of maintaining school safety and the consequences of dereliction of duty as an educational practitioner. Mr. Li said, “Law is the sovereign instrument of the world. To govern the country and society, the key is to establish, observe and abide by rules. Especially for international school, the rule of law not only requires the school to operate and manage in accordance with the law, but also requires every faculty and staff to consciously abide by the law and always take the law as the criterion."

At the end of the lecture, Madam Duan Yun A, executive director of CISS, expressed her gratitude to Mr. Li for his wonderful lecture, and said: In the process of continuous development of the school, it is necessary to constantly improve the comprehensive quality of all the faculty and staff, and the legal lecture is an important part of the faculty and staff quality improvement project carried out by the school. School is a place for teaching and educating people. It is the most basic and important requirement for school to ensure the normal education and teaching order, maintain the safety of the school and students, and let every student grow up healthily in a safe environment. To this end, it requires every faculty and staff to keep the law and discipline in mind and to be vigilant at all times.
