Phase 1 of CISS Summer School Is Completed!

On July 16, Canadian International School of Shenyang held the closing ceremony of CISS International Club 4th Summer School Phase 1.

Over the past two weeks, Summer School has provided students with informative and interesting courses.

Dr. Sajid’s programming class, through programming game enlightenment, students' computational thinking and innovative problem-solving ability is cultivated. Students have developed programming thinking in games, created their own animations and games, and improved their innovative spirit and practical ability. Just recently, Dr Sajid was appointed as an IB examiner. Congratulations to him!

Ms. Ghazala’s math class, is both profound and easy to understand, through lively teaching methods children understand the world of numbers, interesting number games, mathematical life knowledge, students' interest in learning math is inspired!

The first CISS MYP Science Fair planned by Ms. Ghazala is a great success, which will go down in the history of our school's teaching achievements. We would like to thank Ms. Ghazala for her dedication and contribution to the teaching of CISS in the past year!

Mr. Ryan’s English class, he led the students to learn daily vocabulary and grammar from movies, carried out interesting experimental activities, made "magic wand" by hand, and led the senior students to shoot their own micro film.

Ms. Lorraine, in the English class, she led PYP students to design and build their own "little town", so that children can discover and experience the fun of English, acquire knowledge and enrich themselves in a pleasant atmosphere.

Ms. Morgan, in her art enlightment class, she led the kindergarten children to design and create their own unique works of art together with the materials and tools full of childlike interest.

Mr. Paulo led students to run freely on the football field, go hiking and climbing mountains outside the school, and added archery, pickle ball and other activities to the PE class. He is always good at using the forms of activities that students like, so that students can not only exercise their sports skills, but also can pleasure their body and mind, attract students' interest, strengthen their physical fitness, and promote the healthy development of students' body and mind.

Students have not only obtained knowledge and increased talents, but also gained friendship and experienced the joy of getting along with the teachers and classmates.

At the closing ceremony, Madam Duan Yun A, executive director of CISS, congratulated the students. She said: CISS International Club has become a distinctive brand of CISS and has provided many opportunities for students to obtain knowledge and develop skills in the past few years. In particular, our summer school has brought a lot of happiness for students in summer vacation. On the basis of summarizing the past experience, this year's summer school courses are carefully arranged. All the courses have been approved by Dr. Francis Pang, chairman of the board of CISS. The content is rich and valuable, and the purpose is to let the students really gain something. We would like to express our special thanks to all the teachers for giving up your holiday to be with the students. Both the teachers and the TAs, thank you for your hard work.
