On May 12th, the Canadian International School of Shenyang (CISS) held a special Open House and Demonstration Classes for future students. Interested parents and children from all over the province came to the school to learn more about the school’s facilities and curriculum and to appreciate the campus’s beautiful location.
Mr. Alan Norman, the CIS Shenyang Principal, who has served as the founding principal of the Canadian International School in Beijing and the Canadian International School in Hefei, welcomed the parents, students and guests.
Mr. Norman has extensive international education experience and now is the Principal, Head of School for CIS Shenyang. His placement at CISS reflects the emphasis and expectation of the AKD Group on the development of this school.
Mr. Norman said that the school will endeavor to build a high-level, high-quality international education program for children of foreign nationals residing in Shenyang. The school will be an international environmental friendly school, with high quality Canadian certified curriculum, delivered by certified foreign staff, where students and parents can be assured, of their preparation for university abroad upon graduation.
Our guests and parents of students who had already enrolled in the school and foreigners in Liaoning who had come from all parts of the province enjoyed the day. Many of them were fascinated by this high quality international school now available in the Northeast.
Before CISS, some parents had to send their children to Beijing and Qingdao to attend a true International School. “Through a visit to CISS, we have a deeper understanding of the school’s educational philosophy, teaching facilities and teachers”, said many of our distinguished visitors who were so pleased to be here.
