In the snow-covered December, the New Year's bell is about to ring, the annual Christmas is just around the corner, the year 2024 is about to come to a successful end, and the new and hopeful year 2025 is about to follow.
In the joyful festive atmosphere, with the winter afternoon sunshine, in the beautiful Qipanshan Mountain Ziyue Villa, CISS held 2024 Christmas Concert. Let us feel the joyful atmosphere of Christmas.
All CISS teachers, students and invited parents gathered together. Gordon, Principal of Canadian International School of Shenyang, delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of Madam Yun A Duan, Executive Director of Canadian International School of Shenyang.
MCs from different countries, speaking in different languages, sent sincere Christmas wishes to the teachers, students and parents on behalf of CISS, and the concert officially kicked off.
Students from different grades put on a wonderful show for the guests.
The adorable kindergarten students performed the classic Christmas song RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED REINDEER, making guests raise their mobile phones to record this lovely moment.
Next, Grade 1 and Grade 9 students performed the merry Christmas song I'M A LITTLE SNOWMAN. Surprisingly, this combination of Grade 1 and Grade 9 can work together so well.
Then there was the cello performance MINUET NO.3 by Grade 3 Audrey, which filled the room with rich sound that was both a feast for the eyes and a pleasure for the soul.
Next, the students of German class sang the German song O TANNENBAUM. Cultural diversity and inclusiveness are both the educational philosophy of CISS, and also reflect the characteristics of Christmas that is joy without borders.
Next performance was a CHRISTMAS classic, ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU, performed by Grade 7 students on bucket drums. The grandeur of bucket drums impressed everyone at the scene.
This was followed by SLEIGH RIDE/JINGLE BELLS with G3 students using percussion and keyboard, which combined to make the performance powerful.
This was followed by the CHRISTMAS song WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS performed by Grade 4 students with Glockenspiel. The unique timbre of Glockenspiel gave this classic Christmas song a unique appeal.
The next performance was the ukulele performance FELIZ NAVIDAD by Grade 8/9/10 students. The students on the stage played the ukulele in unison, passing the merry atmosphere of Christmas to every guest.
Next came the Recorder performance JINGLE BELLS by Grade 2 students. The children's earnest performance on stage was recognized by all the guests.
Then G6 students brought ukulele performance JINGLE BELL ROCK, G6 students played rock-like passion and joy with ukulele, pushing the happy atmosphere to the climax.
Last but not least, the bucket drum performance Carols of the Bells brought by Grade 5 students, with a strong sense of rhythm, vividly conveyed the enthusiasm and joy of Christmas.
When all the guests at the concert thought the show was coming to an end, a strong Santa Claus came to the stage with gifts. It turned out that there was a surprise part of the Christmas concert: the gift of Secret Santa. The children at the scene shouted and screamed, and Santa Claus distributed Christmas candy to the children at the scene, once again triggering a rush of joy.
Then Santa Claus became the host on the stage, organizing kindergarten, PYP and MYP/DP students to exchange secret Christmas gifts on the stage, and the faces of the children who got the gifts were filled with surprise and joy.
Besides, CISS also prepared delicious tea refreshments for all the guests. Children, parents and teachers at the site spent a memorable afternoon in laughter.
This is also the original intention of CISS to hold this Christmas concert, not only with good wishes of ringing out the old and ringing in the new, but also the integration of diverse cultures, and more importantly, pass the joy and delight to everyone at the scene!
