This significant day is set to spread awareness about physical activity, sports, fun and health in general. Games emerge as a possibility for students to integrate and socialize at school and in society, because through them, it is possible to simulate everyday situations that they encounter on a daily basis and often do not know how to deal with.
I believe that games are important for the growth of students, being an excellent means of learning. They help teach students various skills, such as leadership, patience, team work, social skills, develop confidence, concentration/focus and self-esteem, that is, develop their personal and social skills, their intellectual and psychomotor skills. These, in turn, facilitate students to have experiences teaching them to live in a society, to know their strengths and limitations, to grow and mature.
Even though some students refuse or are reluctant to participate, the importance of games is to promote joy and teaching to students. Joy because sport is leisure, life and fun, whilst teaching sport is about learning, discipline, effort and respect. In other words, all values that will help children and adolescents throughout their lives. Through games, students learn to fight for their goals and to work as a team; they also learn to win and lose, being fundamental to dealing with situations of distresses and conflicts. It is a constructive and useful way of undergoing new experiences.
